Performing at the Festival
If you are a performer who wishes to be considered for the 2026 Islands Folk Festival, happening July 24, 25, 26, please send your promo material and cover letter to: artisticdirector@cowichanfolkguild.ca. Due to a large number of applications, we are unable to respond to all submissions and inquiries. We will be in contact if you are under consideration. Thank you for your interest!
Volunteering for the Festival
Volunteers are the foundation of our festival, without them we would not be the success we are today!
For the modest commitment of 12 festival hours, you get to join our stellar crew and enjoy the following perks.
Volunteer perks include; a weekend pass , free camping in the West Field or Lower Forest, free parking, light meals and snacks in the awesome volunteer center, a chance to win some awesome stuff from our Volunteer Appreciation crew, and exclusive access to our Volunteer Party held right after teardown on the Sunday of festival weekend!

Available volunteer positions:
Coordinating a crew: Do you want to be more involved with the festival? This is a fun way to do that and get to know the festival and the people organizing it.
Coordinators for Main gate: must be familiar with retail and cash registers.
Co Coordinator Green Team.
Weekend volunteers:
Here are just a few of the volunteer positions we have available.
Gates: need retail experience
Security, light patrol, greeting and checking for wristbands.
Green Team
Site, needs to be available some weekends and evenings before the festival.
Kitchen, helps to have food safe and know the way around a kitchen.
