Black Angus offers a variety of material from foot-stomping folk songs to poignant lyrical poetry. The duo of Gareth Hurwood and Alex MacCuaig offer great stage presence and a camaraderie that is instantly communicated to audiences. Black Angus is devoted to the authenticity of “good songs” that speak to their artistic hearts, and is near-impossible to pigeon-hole: traditional & contemporary Irish, acoustic roots, Americana, West Coast Celtic, blues, and old-time are all part of the Black Angus sound.
